Community Host / Creator
Develop travel around a theme, content and community, without having to sell travel yourself.
Who It Is For
- Community hosts: develop themes, experience ideas and organizing concepts.
- Content creators: communicate travel interests and connect with relevant audiences.
- Community organizers: understand members’ needs and coordinate communication and participation.
- Themed-trip initiators: shape a travel concept around a shared interest.
Roles & Regulated Activities
Hosts handle content, community and organizing work defined in the agreement, without having to sell travel. Project-based and ongoing collaborations can both be discussed.
Quoting, selling, contracting, booking and collecting payments must be handled by an appropriately qualified travel business where required by applicable rules.
Hosts must still follow applicable rules and agreed roles. Content or organizing collaboration does not grant independent travel sales authority.
What We Can Discuss
- Develop themes, community and content ideas around real travel needs.
- Discuss product feasibility, group size and roles with the travel business.
- Define public information, participant communication and matters to refer to the appropriate business.
- Work on content and community within the agreed scope, with transactions handled by an appropriately qualified business.
For group and specialized product resources, see Group & Specialized Travel Support. Ask the team about what is currently available.
Remuneration, Terms & Responsibilities
Remuneration may take the form of service fees, promotional fees or legally compliant outcome-based payments, as agreed in the project agreement. Cost sharing, publicity, participant communication, cancellations and complaints also need to be defined beforehand.
There is no uniform host membership plan, and the advisor commission system does not apply. The project agreement defines the travel transaction entity, the host’s work and each party’s responsibilities.
Planning a Collaboration
- Share the Theme & Community Needs
Explain the theme, audience and organizing ideas without making public promises about unconfirmed itineraries or prices.
- Discuss Feasibility & Roles
Establish what the host handles and what belongs with the appropriately qualified travel business.
- Agree on Terms & Responsibilities
Define remuneration, costs, public communications, transactions and cancellation arrangements.
- Proceed Within the Agreed Roles
Once the necessary arrangements are complete, each party works within its responsibilities.
